Read this! Tutorial to make your character in the game

This is the putting your char in tutorial, YOU MUST FOLLOW THIS TUTORIAL
TO BE IN THE GAME! IF ITS NOT GOOD MADED YOU CANT BE IN THE GAME, if you dont do it
good ur char can be shaking, look chopy or buggy.. so follow this carefuly!

First let me explain how the animations works...
a character has a total of 44 different frames and movements (but you can repeat some)
this is the order
Remember be creative you can replace the original default one as you want :D lets say when you get hit
your char goes Happy

Pose 1 - Stand (The basic standing one)
Pose 2 - Hit (use the Huh

+alert animation)
Pose 3 - Weak (use the standing +semi closed eyes animation when you are low hp)
Pose 4 - defend (use the alert+ NO f1)
Pose 5 - walk to enemy (use the walk)
Pose 6 - goes back after attack (use the last move of ur atack, I will explain this)
Pose 7 - attack (Well.. you know)
Pose 8 - item (Use the heal option)
Pose 9 - skill (Use the attack movement)
Pose 10 - Win (the Happy

or the movement you like)
Pose 11 - dead (well what else? can it be...)

Okay now I just explained the poses first save the pic in your computer

this is a squared lines I made to make this...
every row of poses has 4 different frames.
So make sure the movement you are using uses 4 frames...
if the atack frame is 3, repeat the frame 3 and put it as 4, it works too...etc...

First get the lastest version of banned story, the one that lets you save png images for each frame
then get a program called GIMP...

Step 1
open gimp and open the squared sprite example I gave you.
step 2
get all 44 poses based on the instruction up there, and use the save png button on ur banned story
then go to gimp and put file and open as layers button
go to the folder were you saved ur character moves, and select all the 44 movements
and it will load in the squared thing...
step3
now heres the hard part, if you fail by one pixel ur character will fail so be careful
first take the picture you just loaded, lets say the standing pose...
move the standing pose up to the first left corner and put it just in the corner
of the picture I upload up there.
and must have a space of ONE pixel
then just keep this until you finish all!

if you character is a mage and uses the attack animation that atacks downward put
all your characters on the top right corner instead of botton right.
after you done all that erase the black lines and its done!
DONT CHANGE THE BACKGROUND COLOR it will be transparent once its done...
after its done it should be like this

you can use this pic as a guide too... you can see theres a ONE pixel space between the corner
hope this is easy to understand
once its done put ur sprite post it as new thread with ur name.

Wow... at first I really wanted to be in the arena... But I didn't know you had to do all this o.O
Ehh I might as well try xD Oh I have 2 questions: 1)Is there a deadline for this? and 2) Can I change 1 or 2 equips on my char? xD

Scratch that I can't figure out how to make a sprite sheet (downloaded gimp 2?)

I only have one problem with the whole process. When i tried to open all files with gimp, the program dont let me select more than one image. When i try to drag all the selected images, it appear in a pile, not in each frame like it supposed to.

Lol my bannedstory wont let me save png images... now what?

Could I use Photoshop CS instead of GIMP?

I can edit the white to be transparent.

I don't have the png version of banned story, but with a little bit of editing, I could easily do it, but I want to make a cleric to fight (much like myself) and perhaps he uses mostly healing skills?

Also, he could charge up for one turn, and then the next turn use Shining Ray, which does a lot of damage on all your party members (a good chance to use defense)

I'll attempt to make a character sheet.

The character sheet is going quite well, I have the first 2 rows done.

It is a bit hard to understand, but I think I've got the hang of it.

For item, I am going to make him use Heal (say he doesn't have items)
For skill, I need another slot, one to charge up, and one to cast, I'll have to work something out.
