PostSubject: Two brand new ideas for FS 2.   Tue May 25, 2010 3:17 pm

I'm once again restarting the installer for FS2. No more winrar crap. Of course, I need help in a few things. Liiiike.. I need a disclaimer. If Zeru manages to send me one in .txt format I might be able to do that. The other thing is a FS2 event for summer. Like opening new beach areas temporarily, pretty fun. Plus I'm also thinking of making a FS2 Updater for the installer. Any questions?

FS II event? Hm.... unlikely... Unless you are able to connect each and every Final Story program to 1 universal system, it is very unlikely because if you download the program temporarily, some people may abuse it by using it after summer, but you may also be able to self destruct the program or make it unavaliable to work after a certain amount of time.... if that is possible.

It is if you insert a "benign" virus... but it would be easy to delete. I have thought of another way but if I say it publicly it won't work. Anyways, It would be cool but it will be unfair because people would just abuse it. Yet another way I was thinking was making the event limited but in-game. Like you can kill any amounts of x monster until you get y item and give it to z person. That person would give you a reward and turn off the event. This game file would only be distributed on summer. But of course, it should be a more interesting event that my example.

Well, there is also a problem, what if that person can't go on? (well, that's their fault)... but then will that be called a FS II version or a FS version event?
The event should still save the number of kills of a monster if you have to save and shut down your computer, because sometimes some people can't play for so long.

ANOTHER PROBLEM: When does the event ACTUALLY START?

Summer -> Each place and each time have different summer times, and even though you say summer, do you mean summer vacation because Summer Vacation starts in different time for each place. For example, my friend is going to have summer vacation in the next week, while I have it once another month passes (because my school year ends in June).

It would be like a normal version except it is an event. It doesn't need to save the number of kills because it would be like another version, except that it would be distributed for a limited time and thus an event. You will be able to play and save normally but after you get the prize, you can't go back anymore and the next version (say this event was called 0.14E and next version would be 0.15) after summer, the next version would teleport the players outside the event area and also close it. So if you want to be able to advance in the story you have to close it and make an event to purposely glitch the game if you try to go back to that version.

My school year ends on June 18... The start of the summer should not be a problem, it's not like it has to start perfectly along with whatever is considered summer (Summer officially starts in the US, Canada, Europe, Central America, Asia on June 21st, the summer solstice).

Now, instead of 1 prize, make several prizes. Why? If you make it only 1 prize ... for the whole summer.... that's pretty... boring... o.o'' Make several prizes for the very dedicated players who play Final Story so they won't get bored. :P

I've decided to build the storyline for FS2 summer event. Here you go:

The party is transported to a empty beach on a unknown place. Apparently the party is trapped on another dimension. Here, they meet the FS1 party. They start chatting to each other, until a non-canon Dark Order member comes in.

''Welcome to Beach Inferno'' he says. He flashes the game screen, and teleports you all to completely different spots in the island. When the game flashes, it will ask you which character would you want. When this happens, you will have a very temporal time without a party. After this is done, you will all be reunited on the west coast. Here you can save your game, and then the non-canon Dark Order member visits you again. ''I see you have a unbreakable bond.. This means we can start the test. I will visit you soon..'' the parties are confused. Then they decide to choose who should be with who. At here, you will be Zeru. You all line up except Zeru, and you will choose your party members. After this is done, you will set up on a adventure of not only FS fights, but minigames and more. Prizes like beach weapons, and beach stars will be available. After the event is over (which should be after you get everything. Should take you the whole summer unless you're hardcore) the dark order member will come. ''You have finished every single challenge. But this isn't over..'' He dissappears, and explosion happens, and you're back at your original spot out of the Beach Inferno. Here, it's the FS2 party all sitting on a mountain in the night. ''Did you all have the same dream? Or was it just my imagination?'' says Zure. Then they all talk about it, and then the credits come up. After the credits come up, you will go back to the original storyline, deleting every trace of the dream from the storyline. Meaning all of this was a non-canon event.
