Benefits of solar hot water act. [AD]

The Solar hot water act was introduced to cause an increase in the purchase of solar hot water systems and to urge home owners to make use of this amazing technology to meet their energy needs. It is actually an incentive program brought in action by the government to encourage people to purchase the solar energy systems.

The total rebate would be limited to 50 percent of the consumer's cost after deducting federal, state and local incentives, as well as tax credits. The rebates would be available to homeowners, businesses, state and local governments, and nonprofit organizations. Along with decreasing dependence on, and use of, fossil fuels, solar energy is a job-generating field. According to the Solar Energy Industries Association, 24 jobs are supported by each megawatt of distributed solar installed annually.

Investment in solar photovoltaic technology will create economies of scale that will allow the technology to deliver electricity at prices that are competitive with electricity from fossil fuels. The electricity produced from distributed solar photovoltaic systems helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, does not emit harmful air pollutants, such as mercury, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides. It uses existing rooftop space, and does not require additional land for generation.

Rebate programs in several states have been successful in increasing the quantity of solar energy from distributed solar photovoltaic and solar water heating systems. Hence this is an energy source which has huge potential and we should not hesitate to make full use of it. Solar energy is truly the most standard of all sources of energy.
