PostSubject: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: EoT/D Q&A   Fri May 02, 2008 3:04 pm

If you have questions about the game you can ask here, I may or may not be able to answer, but I'm sure some other members would be more than likely to help answer some questions you have.

Q: Can I pick my Pokemon in the start?
A: Unfortunately, no, you have to answer some questions and your answers will vary from different natures that determine your Pokemon. However, you can select your partner.

Q: How do I level fast?
A: Use moves on other Pokemons. You will get Doubled EXP.

Q: How do I increase intelligence?
A: By eating various gummies that suit the Pokemon type. You can actually eat any kind, but more suitable ones increase IQ faster.

Q: What's IQ?
A: IQ is your Intelligent Quotient for the Pokemon. The higher, the more skill tactics you can learn. The highest Lv is 10.

Q: I can't beat the bosses. Help?
A: If you want to or not, save up on Reviver Seeds and Stun Seeds. These are the best for Bosses. If there are multiple enemies in Bosses, throw a Stun Seed at the strongest first. Take care of the weaker ones first before attacking the Main Boss.

Q: What are the best starters?
A: Well, Mudkip would be a Type-Advantage with Water Gun and Mud Slap against Groundon and Luxray's Luxio Tribe. Mud Slap would also be good for Primal Diagla, the final Boss in Story-Mode. Even if this is so, Mudkip is a water-type and therefore, is weak against Luxray's electric attacks. Another good one would be Pikachu who has the Thunder Wave and Static ability which can paralyze Pokemons. He will also get Agility at a higher Lv at which you can start attack more than once per round before the enemy attacks. However, if you like a certain Pokemon, you can start with that and still get through the game. Anyone can get through the game if they try.

Q: I hate Wigglytuff's Guild because they keep making me pay 90% from the rewards I get from my Jobs. How do I avoid this?
A: There is no way to avoid it, even after Graduation. You are still an organization made by their Guild, so therefore, you still have to pay no matter what.

Q: How do I graduate?
A: Ah, that is after you save the world from paralysis. You will be the heros and more likely to qualify for Guild Graduation, yet you still have to pay the 90% share to the Guild. I will not spoil for what you have to do during Graduation, but I'll give you a hint. The grand master of all things bad.

Q: How do you evolve?
A: Unfortunately, you cannot evolve any of your starters/heros in this game. The only ones applicable for evolution are those you recruited in dungeons. However, in order to evolve, you must first beat the extra storyline after you finish the Main one. Then you can evolve.

I will probably add in some more Common-Questions later.

Well if you *cheat* a little in the beginning you can get what ever pokemon you wanted. It took me a while but i finally forced it to make me a charmander xD. And do you know when can your heros evolve? Cause i really want charizard and swampert. Need better moves lol

Unfortunately, in this game, you cannot evolve any of your starters, you can only evolve those you've recruited.

Example, you recruit a Lv 50 Nidoran(boy), you can evolve it to Nidorino then to Nidoking.

Yes, but Time is different from Darkness, so I will not be fighting Darkrai, instead, I'll be fighting Palkia most probably.

In both games the post ending story line is the exact same. It mostly the pokemon that you can find thats the main difference. Like in Time you can find Celebi, Riolu, Lucario and in Darkness you can find Mewtwo, Rotom, Burmy. So I believe you will need to fight Darkrai. But its not hard. All I used was like 5 revivers on the fight, however the 29 floors leading up to him is another story... xD

My friend lied, he said there was Palkia in Time, and Darkrai in Darkness, but it's for both.

Anyways, I'm not sure if I can beat them, I'm low Lv, just 50, barely 60. Dialga was hard, I had to Thunder Wave and use a Vile Seed to do some real damage. I was only Lv 33 or 34 back then, my friend was 4x by that time.

Wow I was 5x at that time lol. Oh btw go to http://www.upokecenter.com/games/dungeon2/guides/wondermail.php

Its a wonder mail generator. Now you can get any pokemon or any item you want^^ The only thing that it doesn't really have is egg rewards but you can overlook that right? :3

I have a question. Are you sure the max IQ level is 12 stars? Because my charizard has 10 stars right now and it says his IQ won't go any higher...

Edit:Serebii just added an IQ section and at the bottom it shows that the best IQ skill is from 10 stars of IQ so I think the max is 10 stars.

Ok, updated. I just remembered that IQ now goes as Half-Stars, and not Full Star as in the original one, so you need to raise it up 20 times, which it harder.

Lol its not that big of a deal now with the WM generator. Just get like beach cave missions that give wonder gummis. And the wonder gummis give more stats then regular gummis. My swampert got 3 special attack for eatting 2 wonder gummis so yea Also when you eat a wonder gummi it counts as your a double type pokemon and both types love the gummi which gives you EVEN more IQ when eaten so have fun^^

Edit: I have a few things to say. However the first thing I have to say isn't infomational in the least. I BEAT FINAL MAZE!!!! Dang that place was so fricking hard. You can't bring any items in and theres like 50 floors. So annoying and hard. Anyways if you are a prefectionist in PMD like me then you can find Jirachi, Moltres, and Suicune in Final Maze. Also if you want to level faster go like 2 moves together. BTW this is how EXP is earned. If no moves were used: 50% of exp possible. If 1 move was used: regular amount of possible EXP. A linked move was used: 1.5 times the regular exp possible. So if you want to lv fast go link 2 random moves together. I highly suggest linking moves are you don't usually use or have high PP. As long it is used once on a pokemon you will still get 1.5 times the exp. However, I'm not sure if you link moves like growl and leer together. So like if you link scratch and growl that will work. And I also noticed that if you are going to remember moves from Electivire he doesn't take money from you. You only need to pay if you are linking moves. So you can remember all the moves you want at no cost whatsoever. Wow that was a lot but of well xD Some of it is pretty helpful and one part is just showing off but meh ^^ Peace for now
Oh and in case you were wondering... Yes I am addicted to this game.
