| Ok, so my computer expert friend, told me, that in the lack of so many third-party developing programs, in my computer, my computer will be slow as hell.
So he said I had 2 choices.
1-Quit my games, for a period of time, reset my computer, and have a fresh looking PC.
2-Continue, lettin' my games almost ready to release, and have a MEGA-SLOW computer.
I dunno what to do..
I had a lot of work lately with my games, so I don't wanna quit. But I want a fresh looking PC.
Help me decide :S
(I need an answer before the 28th, since he is coming for my answer).
P.S. My operating system is Windows XP Home Edition SP2 (Professional) | |

| lol, your friend is retarded.
Here's what you do:
Control Panel --> add or remove programs --> remove unused stuff (be careful not to remove system programs)
Organize all your files (delete everything you don't need)
Delete temporary files (disk cleanup program)
Defragment your hard drive
run --> msconfig --> start --> uncheck all of the things that don't need to run on startup (ie. stuff like iTunesHelper an other program stuff); that will reduce the number of background processes
After you do all of those things it should speed up your comp alot (unless your comp is already super organized like mine xD) If it's still bad you could just reformat your hardrive ( back up files to a CD/DVD), or buy more RAM or something :p | |

| Since I don't think he will give you a new processor, more RAM or a GeForce (Me wants one D: )If he do so, hell ya, just save the stuff you really need (like your games, music, etc) and give it xD... Also if not just follow Hydroxide instructions up there but you can also save you files on an USB or external Hardrive.
Advice: Also if you're giving it to him don't let him install Windows Vista, because it just sucks... | |
