RPG MAKER XP - RGSS PLAYER

Hello guys I have some problem with my Rpg Maker Xp.
If open any programm like 'Game' or something or Rpg maker XP then there are some Problems.
A windows comes up and say 'RGSS PLAYER doesn't work anymore' or something like that i have a german computer.
So do you have any Ideas how to get it fixed? Its only at Rpg maker Xp Programs.

I am using Vista.(Maybe its Vista Problems)

1 UNINSTALL rpg maker rgss-standard
2 download the setup for rpgmakerxp from the site ( http://tkool.jp/products/rpgxp/eng/download.html )
3 resetup rgss-standard and it should be fixedd
thats what i did anyways since my didnt work either during the early days of fs

EDIT : If you think its a vista problem and reinstalling it didnt work do this

1. go to properties of the game.exe
2. click compatibility
3. check "Run this program in compatibility mode for: "
4. choose Windows XP

Compatibility is faster and easier to do so I'd try that first

thanks but i already reinstalled windows vista so it'll work automatly.
now i have to play it all again -.-

ya it does suck

The problem is that you are using windows vista. Try right-clicking on RPG Maker XP and pressing "Run as Administrator". Then, it should run.

what if you have a windows 7, what do you do?

right click your game.exe
check the box beside run administrator and set compatibility mode to windows xp service pack 2.

pretty much the same thing you can do for vista.
either that solution or a certain registry edit if it doesnt work still.

Well, if you have a Windows 7, you might want to install it on your computer. Just saying.

*sigh* Well, I have 7, and game.exe runs fine without setting compatibility to XP-SP2/3, so you outta be fine.
