the download links are shown on the first post by zeru for both topics
you should start on fs1 for the extras and stuff for fs2

btw you need winrar to extract the files, if you dont extract the files you cant save

then you have to open the game and start a new file,
For FS 1 you can make it to the char. trans. map if you get good ending and transfer ur chrs.
For FS 2 if you do new game you will have nooby chars.
ur choice

Remember to save often as well. If you don't save often, and at a nooby level or fighting a boss and die, you have to go back to where you last saved. Since there are a lot of puzzles in this game, you would really want to save, so you don't repeat the puzzles. Another thing, in Lith harbor, when you go near the portal, you just go in by pressing the direction key. As you go to Vic. Island, you must press the spacebar after you are there.

but dont sve to often or save on moment when you know you did the right thing,..
i once saved after i did something bad (dont remember what) and i had to restart,...

So the advice would rather be: "Pay attention to what or where are you saving. You don't want to save an error."
