It is a .gif, those can have animations... like my Luffy avatar, it slightly goes up and down. There are various programs to make them, some of them lets you edit the same pictures within the program, others will just make it an animation, you will have to make each frame. Blaze's avatar just seems to have 2 frames though.

My avatar has 5 frames i think, tried to make it smoother by adding one more frame...don't think it worked.
I know that most people use flash but you know i have to pay for that and i don't feel like it.
The program i use, GIMP, allows you to make animations and edit pictures.
Personally it's easier for me to use but does take a while to make longer animations, even longer to get a moving background.
I guess i could make a guide but what section would it go in, the guide section is for FS guides right?

i think it goes in off-topic , pictures section,...no sure though

lol, if you want to know how to make a gif just search it on youtube or something :D
I use photoshop for my animations o-o

I'll get started once i finish my homework, procrastinated all weekend....
