How about making an mission portal? Like you take the mission ORR you go into a portal and you are assigned with some random mission and what you have to do is (several ideas)::

Help someone get something or bring them somewhere in the map/towns.

Kill a monster -obviously-
Kill all the monsters -add a senario here like raiding a town-

Find a dropped item -from an area, house, town, map, world, continent-

Time limit maybe?
If so, then you are ranked from A (being the best) to F (fail). Rewards vary on rank.


Killing a monster -how many times of death depends on ranking-

I also support this idea. The ranking should also give you bonus items depending on your rank.
That sounds really cool and it would give a huge amount of replay value.

OMG INSPIRATIONAL THOUGHT!

The more missions you do with the better ranking, you are able to take special ONE OF A KIND missions. Which means you can take the mission once. You fail, you lose the mission. You pass, you get an unique/one of a kind item.

uhh i think this is necro, sorry about that, but what about rewards for money and exp? That's one of the essential rewards for quests......and usuable items like pots?

well i just thought they forgot about em. They should also have mission ranks. If you completed enough missions you have ranks like first one u start of as novice, regular, expert, agent, legend. Or something like that. Also, there should be a shop near the mission person, and the higher mission rank you have, the better stuff comes in the shop. Sounds pretty cool huh? I kinda ripped this off from KH 358/2 but w/e

guess when u reach legend u can buy the best equips, but to become legend u gotta finish all the quests there is.
well it depends on how much zeru puts in the quests. If the quests are less than 100 it's not advisable. But if there are about 500 quests this might work out.

Again, the game isn't supposed to rely on the quests to be good. The quests are just an add-on and not meant to be the main attraction of the game. I say 25 quests, saying that each of them takes you at least half an hour to complete. That would be 12 and a half hours extra of gameplay. That is a lot.

yeah, but we can do quests that also take less than half an hour. It doesnt always need to take us so long. There are short and easy quests, which gives weak rewards but still there to complete. Plus, 25 quests are too little if you think about it. In real maple 25 is nothing. Also, if this isn't quest based, why add quest? Final story do get boring after you beat the game, so quests can kill people's time(if the people choose to), and maybe the quests can also contain like fighting bosses that only works from a quest. Also the bosses might drop good equips too. IDK about you, but i think 25 quests are too little to me.

well i just thought they forgot about em. They should also have mission ranks. If you completed enough missions you have ranks like first one u start of as novice, regular, expert, agent, legend. Or something like that. Also, there should be a shop near the mission person, and the higher mission rank you have, the better stuff comes in the shop. Sounds pretty cool huh? I kinda ripped this off from KH 358/2 but w/e
But what kind of items should they be? I wouldn't suggest common equipment, or at least don't make it the only way possible to get them since they are supposed to be sidequests and not required to complete the game.
guess when u reach legend u can buy the best equips, but to become legend u gotta finish all the quests there is.
well it depends on how much zeru puts in the quests. If the quests are less than 100 it's not advisable. But if there are about 500 quests this might work out.

I would be pleased with 25 quests, that is more than enough. As long as they have ranks (F to A) depending in how much time you complete them in as well as other stuff, it would be amazing. There is no need for hundreds of quests. This isn't a quest-based game, and even those don't have 500 hundred quests.
well if you are going to add the quests as another thing. You should at least provide more than 50 quests. 25 quests it too little to be added for quests. You can complete 25 quests so fast it's not even funny. WE need more than 25 to add the quest activity.
Again, the game isn't supposed to rely on the quests to be good. The quests are just an add-on and not meant to be the main attraction of the game. I say 25 quests, saying that each of them takes you at least half an hour to complete. That would be 12 and a half hours extra of gameplay. That is a lot.
yeah, but we can do quests that also take less than half an hour. It doesnt always need to take us so long. There are short and easy quests, which gives weak rewards but still there to complete. Plus, 25 quests are too little if you think about it. In real maple 25 is nothing. Also, if this isn't quest based, why add quest? Final story do get boring after you beat the game, so quests can kill people's time(if the people choose to), and maybe the quests can also contain like fighting bosses that only works from a quest. Also the bosses might drop good equips too. IDK about you, but i think 25 quests are too little to me.
That's what I'm saying. The game won't be, and isn't going to be based on quests. They are just to add gameplay. Maple is pretty much a sandbox game. You can't compare FS with MS since they are both different genres. Final Story isn't meant to be a sandbox game like MS where there is no goal or rather, "end" to it.
By quests, I meant something like missions since it would be pointless to have quest ranks with just quests like "get 10 squishy slime". 25 quests is enough for me as long as they are missions. Those missions should have various steps and some of them unique places (only accessible during the quest). They should be able to use the same place for several other ones.

Id be fine with 25 quests but they dont have to be fast they could be really hard quests So it doesnt go fast.

Well, this suggestion has the F - A ranking system.

In this case, it means that whatever the mission is, you will have to complete it in a good amount of time. If you get something like a C rank (killing slimes), then you can always retry and retry until you get the item you want.
(Each mission gives a different reward in the F-A RANKING SYSTEM)
Ex: Slimes reward:
F-A Mesos - ok equips - Great Defense Equips

Finding a bag of crystals:
F-A Mesos - More Mesos - A LOT OF MESOS

Collect Twigs/ores/whatever
F-A Weapon - Better weapon stats - Z helm (RankA-B Stats +14 to +17)

Here's the problem though, the missions you get is random, so it might take you a while to get the mission you want. This means that you will have to repeat doing random missions until you get the one you want to improve in to get better items. This can take forever since you're getting a 1 in a 25 chance if there are 25 missions or something. That's like 4% to get the mission, now good luck getting the A rank every 4%.

DON'T FORGET. These are only extras. This could take a while to get what you want so you might spend a few days on this. Even if there are a few missions. When you complete a number of missions, you get to get a one of a kind mission that gives some godly item/equip but it is a one time mission so if you fail, you don't get it.

It would suck to get a mission randomly... maybe choose between 4 of them randomly? (like each option is randomly selected).
