Edit: Closed beta applications are now open as of april 20th they will close probably on april 30th closed beta begins may 17th to sign up for closed beta go to nexon.net and click on dragon nest. Then click the closed beta application on the top left to sign up for it hope you get picked :D.

I think Open beta is in the summer. Closed beta would come before it :P anyways hmm I wonder if you will be able to keep your characters after closed beta if you were in it.

All games I've beta-tested for wipe beta characters so I wouldn't be surprised if they do. They also give a lot of benefits during beta-testing like increased EXP or even free money and "NX" kind of money to test their shop or trade system.

Yes they did here it is and i quote " After internal assessment, we have decided to push back the launch of the Dragon Nest closed beta until June. Edit: Look how money hungry nexon is. :One of the big things we wanted to evaluate was the effect of the “fatigue” system. If you’re not familiar with such a system, in summary it affects the rewards available to a player over time. Some fatigue systems will gradually reduce the amount of experience points earned, lower the drop rate of important items, or in the most severe cases, just arbitrarily cut off play. Dragon Nest actually has such a system in other countries. Players get “fatigue points” that they use up when exploring dungeons. Once a player runs out of fatigue points, they won’t be able to play until their fatigue points regenerate.

I put together a very logical case for why this was a bad idea for our market.

Anyways, I probably won't be able to play it then. If it is in June, I might be able to get closed beta. I got to go to a vacation thing (family trip) for a long time. >.>

Reminds me of browser games. And I agree that it is a terrible idea.

The article actually says that they won't implement that system, instead they will use a rewarding one where they give you extra things in the first few hours and then it goes back to normal. But to be honest I don't see the difference since it will still lower the rewards...

Well they just took it out for their market. I agree fatigue system sucks, but that shows that they care more for their market then players health,but still hate the fatigue system so meh good job nexon?
