You can mute the audio by pressing F1...

this suggestion isnt the best since like other games it would be pointless cause there is already a option to turn bgm and effects off and like for other games the options page usually adjusts quality or turns off voices and affects gameplay style with other things and in fs2 there isnt much of that you could say.

If it was for sound enhancement/reverse then I would probably consider it atleast.
