| So after playing through FSIII again, I just realized that they never expand on that shadowy translucent character that is introduced with Luphiel. It's basically like, he mentions how - Spoiler:
Luphiel is helping him but doesn't specify how, then goes a while without being seen, and somehow appears at Zeika's front door. How does he know who Zeika is?
How strong/weak is he really? Considering you never get to fight him with Luze either, he just kinda gets his ass beat. After this point, he doesn't appear for the rest of the story as far as I can tell, not even in post-game (unless he's supposed to be one of those secret super-bosses that I never fought like - Spoiler:
Hein/Weird angel girl in World Hollows/Team Angel Wings/Zeika himself
). His character design looks kinda foreign to me too, closest maybe to Hein? But not to anyone else who appears in the story. I suppose really I'm just wondering who he was supposed to be, whether he had any real impact in the story that I may have missed, and maybe if his role was originally planned to be bigger than it currently is? | |

If it is then it's Hein. Since the world they're in is a fake world created by Nayu, remains of Hein also exists in that world. The seraph took this opportunity to revive Hein, or more like an 'artificial version' of him in hopes of using him to take over Nayu's world.
Hein still retains his memories of what happened during FS2 and decided to look for the original cast and found Zeika's house. There he encountered Luze who managed to stop him.

I can't actually load that picture but yea it's probably who I'm talking about. If so, dam. He's so weak that he got slaughtered in a 1v1 with Luze. What was his purpose in the story then? He just kinda appeared twice and died the second time, and unless I missed a large plot point, he doesn't even mention who he is or what he's trying to accomplish.

What he's trying to accomplish is vengeance, he mentions he is looking for Zeika. But since he was revived with the Seraph's wishes in Nayu's world (in which is still corrupted) his revival couldn't be perfect; he's just a 'ghost' of what he used to be (hence the transparency) so he's not as strong as he was in FS2. In the story he serves as a way for Luze to recover her memories and use the Dual Transformation.
