Post here what you wish to do with them.

100 = be a moderator
50 = clear your banning record (reset all to 0)

To be a mod, you must have a clear banning record.

1st 50 to clear my ban report
2nd 100 to be a mod

You need to be helpful and have a mod/admin approve of it.

Also you could report people and if it's legitimated and a mod/admin approve of it, you gain points.

So does it work vice versa? Wrong report=loss of points? Or does it just not do anything? I think it should be like, a warning or something, otherwise there might be a mass-report frenzy. If that happens.../get ready reporting false reporters. Lol. And what do you mean by 'ban report'?

It does work vice versa. And ban report as in how many times you've been banned/warned and for what reasons and such.

lol... so if i get to 50 my 2 bans will be forgotten?

Yes, but your points will reset to 0.

Likewise, if you have 86 points and you want to forget your bans (must post here) then your points goes to 36.

Great idea, since the mods are generally trustworthy people. Just don't use the report for points system, because that can be really abusable (Not going to post how).

You can get banned for false reporting = you need 50 points more.

Sorry, what I meant was keep track of the new accounts coming in, because people will purposely report themselves.

Do people get points in groups of say 5 or just 1 per each helpful post?

No, they do not, but feel free to add them if you wish (specify if they are a warning)


UPDATE: Removed everyone's ban record, look at the new announcement.

I think the system is bad because same thing happened on basil market and they had people spamming reports just to be mods. But that may not happen here

So...explain it again?

The system might not be that good as some people may be lazy to click report>Helpful post
or maybe they do not know about it.

Shouldn't you have one mod approve of people trying to be mods? Or else, after a while, everyone could be a mod. If this community doesn't grow much, mods could outnumber members.
