How's your life?
I don't mean game life (e.g. I'm level 150, I can do 999 damage! Blah) . o.o
Your real life? I've been having my ups and downs. ._.''
Losing time on doing homework, cramming on tests (doing that for almost every exam. Lol...), and trying to keep my grade up.
So far, I managed to keep my total average at a 97.44 ._.'' <- Hard earned for losing around 60 hours of sleep.

So, due to this 'freshman - high school thing', my thinking process became more oriented on 'reading/tv' than 'gaming'. That just freaks me out. ._.''

All I'm doing is homework these days. The time I'm not doing homework is reading or sleeping. Hah! xD The only thing keeping me doing homework and getting me motivated is a job/profession... where I found this cool looking house I want to move into someday (someone's facebook picture, LOL. I know. It's stupid. ) Rarely have time for games. If I have time, I'd probably play the whole day off. Heheh.

I'd say my life would be in the 'no idea - getting better' section. How about you?

As I always answer these kind of questsions: Sh*tty but good.
Life is more on the sh*tty side, but I live a "good" life by most standards--I go to a good school and am greatly financially supported by my family. I am not some starving kid in Africa or whatever BS argument people say when I say my life actually sucks.

I would try to edit that Cain, but I couldn't. There's no edit button. Or, at least none that I know of. Sorry if I offended you. I meant my description in a good way (so other people can get help or something to get out of that situation, no matter how small the help may be).

You aren't the only one with the suicidal personalities you know... I have thought about suicide several times in life... I've been able to recognize the fact I had thought of death several times with my own hands.. and ALMOST attempted it... but stopped. I had support from friends and helped me calm down.

I don't look down at anyone or those who have this problem. I'm just worried about the community. If the community needs help, then I'd try to help them out through the net as much as possible. :/ Everyone faces some problem and conflict in their life. I just don't want another to suffer like I did at one point. There are living beings with feelings through the screen.

It's just your own opinion. You can always take your vote back (to show if your life got better or not). Of course, you don't have to vote at all (another option)... it does irrate me to realize that I edit the poll description.

The thing is, normally, I look at my life with a 'optimistic' aura. I don't want to go feel pessimistic as that generates a spiral that goes downhill. I try to believe I can go through this and something will be better. I'm not sure about you Cain, but I know there are things that can't be healed... but we must move on to help those who are gone and find a way to help those in the future so these negative feelings will not resurface again.

Fortunately, you were/are lucky. You were calmed down by your friends during those times. During the first time, I was actually encouraged to kill myself by my "friends" (no, they were not being sarcastic either). During the second time, no one would step-up to help me; I was (and still am) rather alone. Now, I just don't have anyone that I can trust or call a "friend." If I do use the term, it's because that is the universal understanding everyone else has. I doubt I ever will, especially since I tried again this summer, and thought life was getting better, but those "friends" turned their backs on me and made me even more mentally unstable (not in the good way).

Although I can agree with the feelings of wanting to help people to prevent them from feeling the same way, but seriously, you're going to add an extra strain on yourself. They will ultimately make the decision, and that is not something you can change.

I am torn now between optimistic and pessimistic views. A lot of things I view more pessimistically (which is actually speaking as more realistically, but hey, potato potato).

I appreciate it guys. I'm not exactly hoping anymore though. My philosophy now: Just keep going. Things will happen. It does not matter whether they are good or bad. Things will just happen.

I don't know what "working hard" qualifies as anymore, plus I don't think that is true. After all, working hard ended up leading me to have this damn injury that prevents me from training, which just so happens to be pretty much the only time I thoroughly enjoy myself during school (since I can't game that much). It also has lead to a ton of other issues. It doesn't really matter what I do anymore.

Although, I will say that I hope your lives are kick-arse as well!

Working hard is something you do with effort to achieve a certain goal.
Cain, don't overexert yourself. It will lead to stress at times, but trying hard does yield success. If you enjoy what you do, then continue doing it. :O

Hope you get healed. It does matter what you do. :P One day. you will get wife and kids and then you'll look at your life differently (with optimism). :D Strive for a goal, don't let your hopes down. People do let their hopes down once they stop believing. Every once in a while, life will go down, but someday, they will go back up again.
Comforting others to prevent the "Path of Self-destruction" is also something all of us can do.

Thanks none-the-less. Like I said, I don't hope for things getting better or anything like what you described--I actually doubt I will have a wife and kid(s). I've never been in a relationship, and I have a HUUUUGE scar from falling for two people. That is of course on top of everything else--which sums up saying: I will never find someone--I just wouldn't mind something like that happening, since I couldn't/can't make things better.

It's quite a pessimistic view on things. I guess it's your own feeling of what's "better."

Sure, there are the human standards: Going from normal to skin melting off is WORSE, going from skin melting off to normal is BETTER, but for the exact line, nobody knows; it's different.

I think you should do what YOU want to do. If you don't want children, fine. If you want to become a professor, fine. If you want to cause a nuclear holoca--- I recant that. NOT fine.

But the thing is, don't feel alone. Though you can't see, touch, or taste (o.o) us, we're still here for you. Our support may not come in the form of physical help, but we try our best; I'm sure a couple of us are just dying to buy an airplane ticket to give you a hug to cheer you up.

Also, thank your the kind-ish words. I will say the nuclear holocaust thing was hysterical! I'm working on the sense of loneliness--I'm actually starting a new therapy process on Wednesday. Hopefully, life will show me a reason to believe in it, a reason to believe I am not alone, and a reason to believe I am not hated. After all, the only way I can describe myself honestly anymore is: Forever Hated, Forever Alone. Plus, anything I WANT to do ends up being shot down by reality. Such has been and is my life--believe me, I've tried and continue to do so. Still, thanks for the words. Maybe things will change, but I'll be surprised since every part of me says: "You know better."

Zeru: Try not to be driven too crazy! Breaks are perfectly permitted and A-OK with us! =D

It's your view, again. You view yourself as Forever Hated, Forever Alone, but in doing so, you more-than-likely turn a blind eye to those trying to give affection. Lighten up a bit; maybe it'll increase your perception in these things.

Though, it's not like I don't get how you feel. Life can be a cruel thing... Plus, it's not "You know better," it's more "As if!"

P.S. The nuclear holocaust thing/tasting (owo) was intended to make you laugh. I hope it had the desired effect. :D

Btw, if the therapy doesn't work, seek me. I am pretty sure I can do a better job than them! LOL. xD I shall employ the best tactic I have, counselling.

I somehow counselled people older than me (20 - 30 year olds and older) while counselling people around my age (12 - 14 ). ^^ Go me.
Best of all, I don't have a degree! O_O

Unfortunately I can't help but close myself off (well currently it's more-so: it's hard not to) after all the crap I went through and continue to go through. It's those very same people that were supposedly "giving me affection" (or trying to) that screwed me the most. The others that I once lived for were the ones who ended me! The very people who I gave my affection to for the first time in my life ruined me! It's both "You know better" and "as if!". A lot of me is just plain ruined--mentally and spiritually. Luckily, physically, I am getting back in shape, but that will be to no avail soon I'm sure.

In the event that it crashes down here, which it already has a few times, then I'll probably just stop posting or make one final post saying something along the lines of "It was fun. I hope you all the best in the future." It's what I had to do recently with my two "friends" over the summer which ultimately ruined me (and continues to do so), so it's nothing new.

Neo, we'll see. Counseling...well let's just say it is near impossible for me. People only hear the very surface of my problems usually, never anything deep. The only time someone got close to seeing the deeper stuff was when we were all slightly intoxicated and having this "deep" talk. Which also made me feel like crap because it was more focused on me than anything.

To be honest, I feel really bad with all of these posts. This thread seems to be the "Listen to how much a depressed, annoying person Cain is." I should probably stop talking soon as no one likes being around someone like me, especially when it comes to this kinda' thing...at least that is something I have learned, observed, and experienced. I'll just see what happens with therapy on Wednesday, I guess.
