Meta's might have more eye candy, but I try focusing on cold, hard info.

Firstly, this is an incredibly outdated thread-- three years old! I originally planned to write this, but lost interest halfway and it just sort of petered out. If you want a comprehensive guide, try Ninja's-- his is much better. If you still want what I wrote...then unfortunately, I can't supply it, since I've swapped computers in the interim. Very sorry!

Because if OP posts, its not necroposting.

Neo didn't really say he was necroposting, he just can't reupload thats all.

What you posted wasn't really necroposting since you just need the link again. If you post something like "thanks" or something unrelated and the last post was more then a month ago then thats necroposting.

Furthermore, threads that need the ability to update should stay open. If I simply locked every thread past a certain date threshold, that could screw a lot of stuff up.
And yeah, no, the guy's request was perfectly valid, it's just that this is a super-old thread, and Ninja's got a better guide. It might have been better to PM me about the matter, but I'm not doling out repercussions regardless.
And, I'm locking threads as I see them. This one...well, doesn't really have a use. I'll just leave it here for archival purposes, but I'll lock it.
