In all honesty, the game still IS possible from this point (you can still add skills to chars not in the party, I believe, so you can still grab Valiant Soul Slash and stuff), and when you hit the second endless hallway scene, afterwards, you will get your characters back...though I have no idea what will happen to the Disabled chars. Will they get pushed back into the "Switch" command or something?
