My first guide on this forum was about every DO member I could rematch on the rematch crystal in FSI. Good times, good times...
So, what better way to celebrate it than this?
Let's start:
DARK ORDER MEMBER 1: SAXER
Recommended Level: 11 ~ 14
HP: 1024
Skills:
~ Attack
~ Saxer Power Strike
~ Saxer Slash Blast
Strategy: Saxer isn't the hardest of the group. In fact, he's far from it, given you've fought him after you blasted Astaroth to bits. You'll note that DO members are stronger than the boss for that version.
Saxer Power Strike is your main enemy here, being able to hit a decent 300 on one member of your party. However, if you defend well, this battle shouldn't be an issue.
Drops: Quick Ring 40%, with a free one after the first time you beat him.
How to get to him:
Enter the "Maze" portion of Noctilucent Forest. Right, Left, Right, Up, Down, Right
DARK ORDER MEMBER 2: NIGHT
Recommended Level: 25 ~ 27
HP: 2374
Skills:
~ Attack
~ Charged Blast
Strategy: Getting nostalgic yet? Night hits a bit less than Saxer, but on your party. However, at this point, your strategy still can't be much better than bash-bash-bash-defend-bash-bash-bash etc. With the Quick Ring equipped, you can quickly deal a bit of hurt to him before he starts smashing you with Charged Blast. Don't forget to use Aria's Soul Heal and defend often.
Drops: Haste Ring 40% with a free one after the battle
How to get to him: At Silver Rod Station, go behind the Subway and hit a switch. At Nacreous Station, do the same. Note that the paths to get behind the subways are different for the two stations. After hitting the switch, go into the cave at Nacreous Station and follow the path. Take the upper path whenever possible, and you should see a cave opening.
DARK ORDER MEMBER 3: REINGE
Recommended Level: 34 ~ 36
HP: 5412
Skills:
~ Arrow Barrage
~ Drill Shot
~ Focused Blow
~ Arrow Rain EX at ~40% HP
Strategy: Ah, this guy was a real jerk in the Lightning Temple. Here, he'll punish you with lots of strong, arrow-based moves. Drill Shot is a large concern here, dealing quite a bit of single-target damage, but Arrow Rain EX can hurt quite a bit as well. You still can't do much more than attack, bash, and defend, so just grind some levels if you still can't win.
Drops: Dex Ring 40% with a free one after the first time you beat him.
How to get to him: Six switches are scattered around the Nacreous Route. You must hit them all to get to Reinge.
Here are the locations:
1. Go immediately far-right at the beginning of Nacreous Route (as in, just exiting Nacreous)
2-3. After crossing a bridge to enter the second Nacreous Route map, keep going until you can see a Forest of Reminiscence Stone across the water. You should be between two bridges. Go straight down. To the left and the right are two switches.
4. After crossing yet another bridge and entering the Nacreous Route 3 map, you should see a part of broken bridge, along with a path leading north. Take the north path, which should lead you back into Nacreous Route 2. Follow the bridge, and after getting off the second bridge (so that you're supposed to go north to proceed to Arcus) instead of going north, continue straight right and search around the area.
5. After hitting switch 4, go up and right, and cross the bridge. You should be in the main part of Nacreous Route 3. There are two switches in this map. Switch 5 is near the top of the map. Get off the bridge and keep moving left. You should see the switch.
6. The final switch is at the bottom-left corner of the map.
After all that, go back to the part where you could see the stone across the water, and a portal will have appeared.
DARK ORDER MEMBER 4: LICE
Recommended Level: 35 ~ 46 with skills upgraded.
60 ~ 70 otherwise, because you seriously aren't gonna win without it.
HP: 22412 (!)
Elquines HP: 16412
Attacks:
~ Frozen Blast
~ Ice Strike
~ Glacier Smash
~ Freezing Soul Crush at ~40% HP
Elquines Attacks:
~ Attack
~ Cold Bane EX
~ Freezing Bane EX
~ Glacier Smash
Strategy: That's right, these two combined have almost 8 times Reinge's HP. The level recommendation is no joke either. Here is the optimal party build for beating her:
Zeto: PALADIN
Paladins are tanks, and boast the best defensive moveset in Provoke, along with defensive buffs. Using Provoke, and maybe a cast of Aegis Guard, you can tank her attacks with Defend. Just be very careful if she freezes you with Ice Strike, because Freeze negates all other buffs.
Luna: ALCHEMIST
Lice boasts a 200% weakness to Fire, so her Fire attacks will do lots and lots of damage against her. There's not much other reason beyond that.
Aria: CLERIC
Aria's Cleric set has the best support moveset in the game. She can keep your party healed with her Cure and HP Recovery lines, not to mention her Time Haste and Time Stop SRs. Plus, she can Slow as well, making her a great asset to any team. Did I mention she gets Bless too?
Evelyn: HUNTER
Evelyn's Hunter has party haste, and does a LOT of damage. I kid you not, Evelyn has insane damage output with her skills. Party quicken helps too: it can be the difference between being frozen and not frozen.
General Strategy: Lice herself can freeze with Ice Strike. This is your worst nightmare, and if your party gets frozen, say hasta la vista, cause you aren't getting through this. Glacier Smash isn't much better, doing around 400-ish damage to one character. Frozen Blast is like a party Glacier Smash, only it won't freeze, and hits less. Finally, Freezing Soul Crush is brutal: It freezes, and it does more damage than Glacier Smash.
Elquines is annoying, very annoying. Attack hits for about 100~200 but his Freezing and Cold Bane EX hit one (or the party, respectively) for around 100+ damage. Because of the way those Bane skills are scripted, I don't think they're affected by defense. Finally, he gets Glacier Smash from his master.
Drops: Ice Ring 40% with a free one after the first time you beat her.
How to get to her: From Altocumulus Route 1, go left, up, and pick some flowers.
- Spoiler:
From Altocumulus Route 2, stick to the far-right and go through the path. Navigate around the map into the cave, then go Right, Middle, Right, Left, Left, Middle.
DARK ORDER MEMBER 5: Pyre
Raise your hands if you saw this coming! Meeeeee~!
Recommended Level: 40 ~ 46 with skills upgraded.
Don't even try ~ Don't even try without.
HP: 23412
Ifrit HP: 16412
Attacks:
~ Soul Burn
~ Flame Crash
~ Flame Storm @ ~40% HP
Ifrit Attacks:
~ Attack
~ Flame Crash
General Strategy: Overall, Pyre isn't that hard if you can beat Lice. Now, if you can't beat Lice, you won't like him at all. The big issue here is Flame Crash and Soul Burn. They HURT. Very, very bad. Not to mention that Soul Burn can slap on Burn for some annoying slip damage as well. Pyre is all about dealing lots of damage, and he does it well. His Flame Crash is nearly twice as powerful as Lice's Glacier Smash, and against my characters, did about 630-ish damage. Yeah, it really hurt. Now Flame Storm is Soul Burn on steroids, because it can inflict party burn. Again, I recommend Cleric!Aria for this unless you're utterly overpowered. His attacks can hurt very badly. It might be worthwhile to count how much damage you're doing so you make sure he won't surprise you with a Flame Storm. Ifrit appears at ~90% HP, so unless you can dish out damage fast, dealing with it first is probably the better choice. It can do more or less the same damage as Pyre, and you don't want to be smacked with 1200 damage in one turn. Alchemist!Luna is your saving grace here. Pyre boasts a ton of weaknesses, including 150% to Thunder, 200% to Water, 150% to Earth, and 150% to Wind. Ifrit is much of the same, minus the 150% to Thunder. Note that both of them have 0% Ice and -100% Fire, however.
Drops: Ice Ring 40% (? Might be glitched) and a Fire Ring after you beat him the first time.
How to get to him:
Read signs.
- Spoiler:
Go inside the Fire Mines and go up to the signpost that says "31333333332333222241A." Standing in front of it, move 1 left, one up, eight left, one down, three left, four down, one right, one up, then press Enter/Spacebar/Whatever your action key is assigned to. Yes, you can walk on lava. Zeto is badass like that.
DARK ORDER MEMBER 6: ZURE
This is a really convoluted puzzle.
In the Cirrus Underground, you should see...a pink rock. It will be in front of a red treasure chest. You should see it before you get Aria back, but get Aria back before attempting this puzzle.
After getting Aria back and beating the boss, push the rock like this:
2 right 6 down 4 right 1 down 6 right 7 up 1 left 5 up 3 left 2 up 8 left 7 up 10 right.
(You should be in front of the stairs now)
6 up 24 left 13 down 6 right 1 up
The end result should be that the rock is pushed between two crystal pillars. Now, go up the stairs. Four rocks will be glowing red. You need to hit them in this order:
(For reference, the rocks will be called: UL = Upper Left LL = Lower Left UR = Upper Right LR = Lower Right)
You hit the rocks in this order:
LR - LL - UR - LL - UL
Then the wall between the rocks will break down. You then have to do a combination puzzle (which will warp you away if you fail. Yep.)
The combo puzzle is:
C,D,A,W,Left,Right,S,Down,X,X,A,S,Z,Right,Z,Down,Up,W,A,S,Q,S,S,W,Z,S,A,Up,C
Now after all that madness, you can finally fight the boss...maybe.
You see, you need all of the previous DO members defeated before you can beat this boss. If you see a flame in front of the middle gravestone when you go in, it means you're not done yet.
If not, go and fight, brave one!
Yep, it's Zure in his 4 Swords Form, and boy is he a jerk.
Let's get some stats rolling first.
Recommended Level: Really high (unless you use Before's Method, explained later)
ZURE HP: 27412
Dark Sword I HP: 15121
Dark Sword II HP: 12412
Dark Sword III HP: 13212
Dark Sword IV HP: 15412
...You really have to wonder if these numbers are intentional, or if Zeru hit his head on the number pad and decided "THIS SHALL BE THE HP!"
Zure Attacks:
~ Demon Soul Lash
~ Soul Reap
~ Soul Doom
~ Star's Death @ ~40% HP
Dark Sword I Attacks:
~ Soul Burn
~ Flame Crash
~ Flame Storm @ ~40% HP
Dark Sword II Attacks:
~ Glacier Smash
~ Frozen Blast
~ Freezing Soul Crush @ ~40% HP
Dark Sword III Attacks:
~ Time Haste
~ Doom
Dark Sword IV Attacks:
~ Time Stop
~ Spiritual Mend
~ Soul Recovery
Zure Elemental Affinity: 150% Fire, 50% Ice, 200% Light, -100% Darkness, 150% Star (That is, transed attacks)
Dark Sword I Ele. Aff.: -100% Fire, 150% Ice, 150% Thunder, 200% Water, 150% Earth, 150% Wind
Dark Sword II Ele. Aff.: 200% Fire, -100% Ice, 50% Water, 150% Earth
Dark Sword III Ele. Aff.: 150% Fire, 200% Thunder, 50% Earth, 200% Wind, 200% Light
Dark Sword IV Ele. Aff.: 150% Fire, 0% Ice, 150% Earth, 150% Wind
(Note: Dark Sword II and III are named the same. II is the one pointing UPPER-LEFT and III is the one pointing LOWER-RIGHT.)
Strategy: Holy crap, now THAT is a hard boss. Doom is a FF style doom, where a counter appears above a character's head. If it hits 0, that character will DIE. INSTANTLY. When you can't buy Phoenix Feathers yet.
...Yeah.
There's no way to remove doom except by Transforming your characters.
You need to get rid of Dark Sword III ASAP. Time Haste will just make you cry, and Doom will make you cry more. It's just utter sadness, y'know? Due to Dark Sword III's Elemental weaknesses, you should spam lots of Evelyn and Zeto skills on it.
Now after you kill that, you need to work on taking out the swords in a timely manner. The next target is the Cleric sword, Dark Sword IV. After that, you can take out the Fire&Ice swords based on your preference.
And then comes Zure. For the whole battle, he's been smacking you with a bit of extra damage, but here comes the real kicker.
Star's Death is a OHKO.
...
Okay, maybe I lied. It's not a OHKO at level 99, but it practically is at every other level.
You have to do a precision puzzle to survive it.
Yes, like the one for Luna's first SR where you had to align the bar? You have to do THAT.
Except only to survive.
Of course, if you're lucky, he'll never use Star's Death against you, but...
Don't count on it.
BEFORE'S METHOD:
You see how that Sword can use HP Recovery?
You need Pally!Zeto and Cleric!Aria for this method.
Zombify the enemy party with Aria, then use Provoke on Zeto. Next, spam all your defensive buffs or just spam Defend and wait for the enemy to use HP Recovery.
Next, just stall them to death. Use Evelyn and Luna for extra damage if you'd like.
If you get Doomed, transform that character.
That's that, huh?
You get a Lucky Ring, which doubles your Klaud drop rate.
Awesome.
DARK ORDER MEMBER 7: KANDIT
You thought we were done? Nope.
This requires you to have gotten the good ending in Act I. You should be controlling Klaire, Ethan, Silvie, and Ellis at this point.
Go to Fractus Swamp and read the back of the signpost.
- Spoiler:
You will see green orbs interspersed throughout the maps. There are a total of 4: One on the third map, 2 on the second map, and 1 on the first map.
You hit them in this order:
Go to the third map (where you fought the area boss) and hit that orb. Go back to the second map and hit the orb on the LEFT (BEFORE the signpost). Go back to the first map and backtrack to the top path and hit that orb. Finally, go back to the second map and hit the orb to the RIGHT (AFTER the signpost).
A portal will appear, as per normal Forest o' Reminiscence goodness.
Kandit HP: 1122
Ele. Aff.: 50% Fire, 200% Ice, 150% Thunder, 150% Water, 50% Earth, 150% Light
~ Shadow Stab
~ Half Moon Slash
~ Shadow Double Stab
Recc Level: 11
Holy crap DAMAGE EVERYWHERE. I highly suggest you have lots of Phoenix Feathers from Act I, or you picked up the two feathers around the swamp.
You really have no choice at this point. I suggest you have third-tier skills by now, but if you don't, all you can do is spam attacks. Give the Quick Ring to your party if you have extras.
Half Moon Slash is hax. It's like Zeto's Soul Step EX. It hits once then SLASH SLASH SLASH SLASH SLASH SLASH SLASH...
Look at the super weakness to ice. Ethan will be your best friend in this battle.
You have 40% chance at a Physical Defense ring, with a free one after the battle.
DARK ORDER MEMBER 8:
CAIN STOLE MY JOB CORSIRE
Cain said I could steal his guide, but I'll write my own. You guys can look at his if you'd like.
It's here:
https://finalstory.activoforo.com/t2869-forest-of-remniscience-partincusUpon entering Incus Route East, you'll see colored rocks if you follow the path for a bit, then look up. You'll see a RED and a BLUE rock. Push the red rock up. Before pushing the blue rock, go north through the little passageway. Near the dead tree is a switch. Step on it.
Now, push the blue rock down and keeeeeep going left with it. Eventually, you should see a small tiled area to the north. Impeding your way is a YELLOW rock, so push that up and out of the way, then push the BLUE rock up to the tiled area. Since you stepped on the switch, you'll see two lights there: a blue and a green one. Obviously, push the blue rock onto the blue light. Now, starting from the tiled area, go back east. Near the area where you hit the switch (upper-left of the blue rock) you'll see a GREEN rock (actually teal, but whatever.)
You'll have to push it DOWN in order to free it, so do that, then repeat the above steps, and push it onto the GREEN light. Now, Corsire's portal unlocks, and it's battle time!
Corsire HP: 3712
Ele. Aff.: 150% Ice, 200% Water
~ Attack
~ Flame Shot
~ Ice Shot
Recc level: 22(?)
Corsire's much simpler. No Kandit shenanigans here. He's just got a lot more HP, but he does carry a 150% to Ice, so Ethan should be handy. The attacks will probably hurt, but I hope you brought potions into this battle. Honestly, this guy doesn't have that many gimmicks to him, so winning or losing is pretty clear-cut.
40% chance at a Magical Defense ring, with a free one after the first battle.
DARK ORDER MEMBER 9: SINITH
Since this guide is way outdated, I'm not going to encase any more "how-to-get-there" directions in spoilers. Yaaaay.
So, ice puzzles. Love 'em, hate 'em...well, this one's gonna be a pain, since I get to use something I haven't done for like 10 guides...the U D L R notation. I'm just giving you direct button inputs here.
Get to the topmost part of the map with the ice puzzles in Floccus Underground. You should be to the right of the ice puzzle right next to the waterfall.
- Spoiler:
Now...
L,D,R,D,L,U,L,D,L,D,R,D,R,U,R,D,R,D,L,U,R,D,R,U,R
You should be on firm ground now. But...you gotta go back on the ice puzzle. Sorry.
You get 4 entry points: I'll label them top-to-bottom as 1,2,3 and 4. Pick the THIRD entry point.
Now...
L,U,R,U
And you're in.
BOSS: SINITH
HP: 3712
Ele. Aff.: 150% Ice, 200% Water,
~ Knife Spread
~ Double Throw
Wish you had Luna? Well pfeh to you too.
Anyways, this boss is, again, incredibly straightforward. Ethan can deal good damage, but otherwise, there are NO gimmicks to speak of. If you lose, that's not because of a strategic oversight; you just either aren't high leveled enough or have crummy equips. Or both.
40% for a Balanced Ring, with a free one after the battle.
DARK ORDER MEMBER 10: MARU
How to get there: Go to Humilis Desert, which is one map south of Humilis City during Day time.
Go to the upper-left hand corner of the map and stand in the middle of the flower patch that looks like a sun, and hit C/enter/whatever your action button is. Now, wait until Night time. Then, go to the lower-right hand corner of the map and hop across the orbs on the water there. Enter the cave, and you're in!
BOSS: MARU
HP: 15712
Ele. Aff: 150% Ice, 200% Water
~ Air Strikes
~ Impact Punch
Wish you had Luna...no, I already made this joke.
Anyways, this is, for like the third time, another straightforward boss. Just bash and pray, really. There aren't many "strategies" or "gimmicks" per se, so once more, unless you're underleveled or have bad equips, you should win pretty handily.
