Money Maker Guide

First off, you will need at least 6000 Mesos to start with, and be able to survive some pretty tough monsters inside the Shanerian Mines.

Go to the top most house, the one with the fencing near it, and buy the Refine (Novice) Skill for 3000 Mesos.

Go into the Shanerian Mines and talk to the first guy you come across, who looks almost like Dances With Balrog, and buy the Pickaxe for 3000 Mesos.

Equip Zeru with the Bronze Pickaxe and walk up to the rock stalagmites sticking from the ground. These contain Bronze Ores (which aren't that important for this money-making guide). The crystal rock should contain Iron Ores.

Going further in, the Iron Ores will be easier to mine. If you want to attempt to go into the further part of the Mines, where it's a near 100% success of mining something, then beware of the Gingseng Jars. They appear in a pack of 3. They pack a really big punch of nearly 300 direct damage, and 500 Magic Claw damage. I highly suggest you run from the battle unless you can handle them.

The first rock you come across will contain Silver and Iron Ore, the second one will contain Gold and Iron Ore, the third one will contain Mythril and Iron Ore, and the final one (the one that needs to be accessed by crossing the bridges) contains all Ores except Bronze.

Mine at least 99 Iron Ores before leaving the area because that's the point of the big money maker.

Once you are done go back to the house where you bought the Refine Skill and start refining Iron Ignots. Do not do all the Iron Ores. Do a few and talk to the guy next to the salesman, and do it until he gives you the Refine Rank 1.

Go to the left house and use the very first furnace. You should be able to do Iron at 50% and also Bronze Ignots at 33%. If you have any Bronze, use them first and talk to the guy next the furnace. If you run out of Bronze and he still hasn't given you Refine Rank 2, use the Iron Ores.

When he finally gives you Refine Rank 2, head up to the next closest furnace. At this point you should be able to do Iron at 75%, Bronze at 50%, and Silver, Gold, and Mythril at 33%. Use up the Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Mythril Ores before using up the Iron Ores. Talk to the guy next to the furnace to receive Refine Rank 3. If you use up all the other ores and he still hasn't given you the skill, use the Iron Ores.

When you receive Refine Rank 3, go to the topmost furnace and start using Iron Ores, which should be going at a 100% each. Use up any other ores and receive Refine Mastery. If you need to refill on ores because you ran out and you haven't received Refine Mastery, feel free to go back into the mines and get more.

Once you get Refine Mastery you are ready to make money. Go to the rightmost house and use the furnace to make Iron Plates. These will use your Iron Ignots, and they go for a 75% of success. The Iron Plates go for 2000 Mesos apiece. Transforming 25 Mesos to 2000 Mesos is pretty good with at 75% chance of success rate if you ask me.

You can transform 100 Mesos, to a 3/4 Iron Plates made, a total of 6000 Mesos. That's a big 5900 profit and you could probably get better armour and weapons for the Boss Battles.

Anyways, that's my Guide to Money Making, kind of. If there is a better way let me know or post it up.

You can also make Bronze, Gold, and Silver Plates, at 75% success rate each, since they also go for 2000 Mesos apiece. I would not really recommend Bronze because it's a bit uncommon and you can only find it by itself in a rock. I also do not recommend using Mythril Ignots because at a 50% chance, I find that a bit low and risky. Gold and Silver Ores, I would say are okay because they both go at 75% each, but Iron Ore being the more common ore you find while mining the Multi-Ore Rocks would be a good choice. You can also do Gold and Silver Plates, there's no problem with that, and it would be nice not to let them go to waste because you eventually find them also.

Side Note: [Woohoo, done with the game and got the good ending. Now I'll try to see if there's any better way to make money.]

yea one day when i was like stuck to finalstory i got 99 iron ores and refined them all just because i was there :P
they are still sitting in my inventory too

yeah no offence but i found this well easier way for beginners
it involves eggs+cooking

eggs you can get for free from chickens in henesys
The cooking set u buy it for 1000 dollars
Buy oils for 30 and salt for 10
i suggest buying about 65 since they run out pretty fast
after go and cook the eggs
cooked eggs can sell 250 each
so 40mesos can turn into 250 in a little amount of time 8)

Yea, it would be a good way if you have like little money. To a beginner, 6k is quite a lot considering they are barely even able to fight some Lith Arena people nor have gone far enough into the game to get mesos from hard bosses.

This way is a more advanced way to make it a bit quicker, because it's for more higher level players.

However, take in mind that everytime you need to cook something, you have to open your inventory again and again. I would say you would take at least a couple of minutes getting 99 eggs since sometimes you may not find eggs from chickens.

So you use about 99 Salt and Oil, at 40 mesos for both, and turn it into 99 Cooked Eggs, 250 mesos value each.

99 x 40 = 3960 ..... 99 x 250 = 24750

Therefore, you have a profit of about 20790 mesos.



My way is a actually easier once you become around Lv mid-20s or Lv low-30s. Going into the mines with the good rocks probably take about 2 minutes. Mining would take a while, but at a success rate of nearly 100% you are bound to get 99 Iron Ores in no time.

We have 99 Iron Ores now, along with probably 30 Silver, 30 Gold, and 30 Mythril. I would do nothing with the Mythril, since they are more risky to turn into plates.

When you actually get Refine Master rank, you make the Iron Ore, the very first option, at 100%, and 75% for turning it into Iron Plates. Same with Silver and Gold.

99 x 25 = 2475 ..... 75 x 2000 = 150000
60 x 25 = 1500 ..... 45 x 2000 = 90000

You have profitted about 236025 mesos.

Now we factor in time.

It takes about 6 seconds an egg, where you can either get an egg or not. I'm pretty sure you have 75% of getting eggs. You would get 75 eggs out of 100. That means you should be trying at least 132 times before getting 99 eggs.

7 x 132 = 924 seconds

It takes probably around 15 seconds to open up your Items inventory, move to Cooking, and make the Scrambled Eggs.

15 x 99 = 1485 seconds

For mining, you would probably take at most 3 minutes to get to the Multi-Ore Rock.

You should probably take 7 seconds an ore, and you would get about 189 including ores other than Iron.

189 x 7 = 1323 seconds

If you have a Return Town scroll, that would work, or take another 3 minutes back out.

To refine only Iron, Gold and Silver, that's 159 ores, would take about 6 seconds a piece.

6 x 159 = 944 seconds

Now you turn them to plates, about 12 seconds a piece, since it's further in the pages.

12 x 159 = 1908 seconds

Now we gotta add all that up (darn lots of numbers if you ask me).

Egg : 2409 seconds
Plates : 4525 seconds

You see that eggs are almost half the time it takes to get plates.

I agree that it would be a good way for lower levels to make money, since they would definitely have a hard time surviving Gingseng Jars at the Mines.

Now we do mesos per time (oh snap).

Eggs : 8.63 mesos/second
Plates : 52.16 mesos/second

You make more mesos for plates actually, though I can't say because some of my calculations may be a bit incorrect, like taking the time per egg or ores and turning them into cash are either more or less.

Just as a tip for writing, try using less spaces x.x it hurts my eyes.
