Guide to Training and RBING for FSII Empty
PostSubject: Guide to Training and RBING for FSII   Guide to Training and RBING for FSII Icon_minitimeTue Apr 16, 2013 3:24 pm

The last time someone made a guide like this, it was in a much earlier version and so is sadly not updated. It was a nice guide though :D

Aight.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Table of Contents:

TRAINING
THINGS YOU SHOULD DO
EQUIPS YOU SHOULD GET
MAXIMIZE REBIRTHING EFFICIENCY
RESOURCES FROM OTHER PLAYERS

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TRAINING

Immediately after finishing the game (killing Final Hein) I'm guessing that you have 0 rbs. So let's start from there!

0-1 RBS
Zure 2 (Rematch Crystal)
This thing gives decent exp considering the relative easiness of it, and requires you to kill it a lot of times to level up in the 90s. Maybe around 4 a level up there. That's pretty time consuming.
Goddess of Tempest
I have no idea how well you're going to do on this thing at 0 rbs. It doesn't have alot of attack moves, and if you know how to play the "Hold" moves, it shouldn't be very hard.

2-5 RBS
Zure 2 is now OBSOLETE and it's not really a great place to train. Takes too long.
Goddess of Tempest continues to be a reliable place to train.
New Spot:
Xannel
This might be faster or slower depending on how strong you are. I advise not to go Xanneling at rbs such as 2 since without much hp Xannel will probably kill you very easily and fast. The Blinded Hold Moves are probably your biggest fear early on as you may not recognize all the sounds. Later, the Omega Crusher becomes more annoying. This girl might take a bit longer and force you to concentrate more, but it heals you after every time you kill her. So you never have to leave the room except for rebirthing.

5-8 RBS
Xannel
Very consistent at this point, shouldn't be very difficult anymore.
THE SECRET CHAPTER SUPER SPECIAL TRAINING ROOM
This place is a killer if you don't have a very good idea about how to kill the mobs. At about 5 rbs, pretty much the only way to take it down is with Serene's 99 SR skill and an ADA. It's still not very worth it though.

9-14 RBS
THE SECRET CHAPTER SUPER SPECIAL TRAINING ROOM
This is when Xannel is rendered obsolete and only the training room is any good at all. This place gives you more than 2 levels every time you go through it. If you defeat it at level 1, then you get to level 51 (Unless you engage with the one unlucky group which makes you level 50... lol). You're fingers will die with hitting the AP --> button. The bad thing though, is this is also one of the most boring times in the game. At 14 rbs and level 99, you have completely maxed your your character. Congrats.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THINGS YOU SHOULD DO

At 0th rebirth, get yourself through the Secret Chapter till you get to Goddess of Tempest. Stop there, start training.

At 1-2 RB, finish the secret chapter part where you get Melody/Nayu's Stars. Stop there, start training.

At 5-6 RB, get yourself through the Secret Chapter till immediately in front of the FSIII bosses. Try to escape from most mob battles to live easier.

At 7-9th RB, kill progenitor for the Abbysal Armors. ONLY GET the 4 for your first team. DO NOT GET ABBYSAL ARMORS FOR EVERYONE ELSE!

At 14th RB, get the Abbysal Armors for everyone that doesn't have one. Finish the secret chapter completely.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EQUIPS YOU SHOULD GET

0th RB: Every divine weapon/armor. Pretty obvious why.

2nd Rb- Melody/Nayu's Weapons.

3rd RB- Lenna's Infinity Sword Cannon thing from Xannel.

7-8 RB- Abbysal Armors for YOUR 4 PERSON TEAM ONLY.

14th RB- Abbysal Armors for everyone else AND
Optional 14th RB- Soul Weapons (FSIII boss drops) for everyone.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MAXIMIZE REBIRTHING EFFICIENCY

First thing that you want to do is have as much AP in your main stat as you had when immediately finishing the game. Do not add points into your main stat, instead put 300 points into HP and 170 Points into MP. Or things close to that. Upon rebirthing, you should see why. It is a pain to train your characters without putting points into those first. Then finish your main stat. Then max your HP. After wards, I would suggest putting points into your secondary stat. Then 2 other stats. Why? Because all the stats together make up HOW FAST YOU MOVE! A warrior with 0 points in anything and 999 into int moves the same speed as a warrior with 999 in str. A person with 999 all stats moves 4x faster then a guy with 999 main stat only. (Or at least close to this). So, to outspeed and therefore outdamage and increase survivability, max all the stats first. Then max out MP. MP last for quickest training. If you want to debate on this with me, go ahead.

Oh and I almost forgot, the Highest Tier Skills (arc skills and Zeru/Lenna Crystal Skills) get power from most if not ALL stats. I didn't realize this at first, and my Zeru's Crystal Skill was horrendous. It did less than Insightful Slash (Or Intrepid Slash can't remember what it's called). Then when I maxed out my stats, it did alot more damage! Also I've seen this happen with my other characters as well. The Highest Tier Skills gained power upon maxing the stats, and not just your main stat.

The first team that you should use to RB/Boss to get all the stuff is as follows:
Zeru
Serene
Nayu
Melody

Why? Because Zeru is invaluable in bossing with his awesome Aegis Defense. He can also hit hard. Serene is your healer and has Immunize plus incredible damage on most bosses. Nayu is... a godsend. Literally. Her ADA and ABA are so important I can't imagine bossing without them. ADA doubles almost everyone's damage, and ABA with Aegis and Abbysal Armor = you take 0 dmg. Melody has an awesome skill for Proggy bossing (SHADOW HASTE KOFF) and also her Dark typed skills hit almost everyone in the FSIII bosses really hard. I've done 100k+ dmg with her 3rd tier trans skill. This girl is amazing. Oh, and she also hits the most base damage out of all of the characters I've maxed.

Then, switch out Zeru and Serene and Max out Royke and Antlan. Then Zure and Lenna. Then Hakura and Zeika. Then Xeru. Melody can hit the Secret Chapter training room mobs and kill most in 2 turns with ADA. Nayu is the ADA/ABA supplier for faster and easier training. Xeru is last because he does alot less damage. (Sorry Xeru). Hakura and Zeika are chars I just don't like using in FSII. Hakura can be outdamaged and she's just not that wanted. Lenna has an awesome skill that you can use over and over again provided your lucky (33% is a lot less than i'd thought it would be). Zure can hit 200k+ on a snail I've heard with a bunch of buffing. I've never tried it, so I dunno. Royke and Antlan are my personal favorites to max out after the first team because they are from FSI and I'm nostalgic. They can both hit hard, and mob hard.

And, if you want to train a different team up, here are some Pros and Cons of everyone.
Zeru:
Pro:
-Aegis Defense ( O) ) I can't imagine fsii without it :/
-Hard Hitter
Con:
-Will almost never attack because of pure Aegis Duty
-Without very high stats, his Crystal skill does like 0 dmg. If only maxed STR, even Intrepid Slash does more than the Crystal Skill

Antlan:
Pro:
-Skills look flashy and super amazing
-Great at mobbing
Con:
-No Useful Party Buffs
-No great Solo killing ability

Serene:
Pro:
-HEAL
-Party Buffs TO THE MAX
-One of the HIGHEST HITTERS IN DUH GAME
Con:
-I can't think of any

Royke:
Pro:
-Quicken. Have fun Proggying at 5 or so RBs without this~
-Chance to attack again with Arc Skill. This is useful if you're really lucky.
Con:
-Not Many Mobs are hit hard by Lightning
-Using non-repeating skill doesn't do as high dmg as other chars

Lenna:
Pro:
-Crystal Skill Attacks again. It's like Royke's skill, but Abyssal Armors don't help it.
-So many elemental attacks :D
-Mob TO THE MAX
Con:
-Overall rather weak, but I've yet to Perfect her
-Sorta like Royke, highest NON Repeating skill doesn't do as much dmg as other chars...
-Party Buffs? Nonexistent.

Hakura:
Pro:
-Hardcore DMG!!!
-Ultimate Skill (Shark Wave) is a mob skill. Shout OP
Con:
-No Party Buffs
-DMG is high, but not highest.

Zure:
Pro:
-Best damage possible in Game with a lot of buffs. I heard he can hit upwards 230k in one hit?
-Combo Fenrir FTW
-Can Stun~
Con:
-Combo System is really really useless... You never actually really use it.

Zeika:
Pro:
-Better Healing than Serene :D
-PHOENIX EVERYONE SHOUT OP
Con:
-Can't really attack for anything compared to other chars, but it IS a support character... so...

Nayu:
Pro:
-ADA, ABA, Goddess's Dark Aura... All them AURAS
-Probably most needed bossing character in the game. Just because of Auras
Con:
-No Mobbing whatsoever. This doesn't matter that much though, since ADA can basically double other people's damage.

Melody:
Pro:
-Shadow Haste. It's basically Quicken.
-MOBBING AND SINGLE HITTER DMG HARDCORE
-Her attribute (was it night or dark type? I think it was night) hits hard on pretty much every FSIII boss, and 3rd Tier Trans Skill can hit 100k+ with ADA on some of them
-Extremely good bosser
Con:
-Attacks can Miss. Thats right. They can miss. And if you're unlucky like me, thats not a good thing.
-No armor until KOU/Abyssal Armor, so she will be taking A LOT of dmg b4 then. And you almost need her for Abyssal Armors so... Have fun with that.

Spoiler:

TO BE RECOLORED

If there's anything missing or wrong, or any questions at all, leave a reply :D

*Edit*
Can someone (anyone) comment on this and tell me anything that I need to improve it? I'm 100% certain it's not perfect, and this is also the first time I have seen a guide not getting replied to at all within the first week. I'm sorry if I seem impatient, but I'm sure I forgot something.

At the very least, make me less lonely and alone in this topic D:

To make it easier to read by:

1. Use colors to highlight points of importance

2. Font sizes

3. For things to do, and equips to get section put a note that the person
should look at the bottom for a guide.

4. For efficient rbing section put good points for all characters, because some oddballs might not like your opinion.

Otherwise its a good guide I think. -adds to master guide list-

Re-opening a topic for discussion after a original topic edit is fine.

On that note, I never commented on this. o-o I would actually prefer the team Zeru - Nayu - Melody - Zeika, as shown in my Ultimate Challenge guide.

Royke might also work too, but since mine is glitched, I can't check. :x Permanent GDA and Immunize, seriously.

What's "Permanent GDA and Immunize"?

I don't really like Zeika since he can't attack very well, but since Serene isn't that amazing attacking at the final boss either...

He has Goddess Dark Aura and Immunize on. ALL. THE. TIME. It never goes.
It's so bad I can beat Zeto's Full Team with him before Zeto summons his whole team. Piercer does like 77k from the get-go.

And then if he procs Piercer's effect, well crap.
